Apple Butter Pork chops with Spinach

Apple butter pork chops are the perfect blend of sweet, savory, and comforting. Juicy seared pork chops simmer in a rich apple‑butter glaze that’s silky, slightly tangy, and full of warm spice. I was looking for a different way to prepare pork chops and couldn’t find one that I thought everyone would enjoy. I used three different recipes and modified them to make the perfect pork chop.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork chops
  • 7/12 oz apple butter
  • Bacon grease (for cooking)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cream

Directions

Heat a large skillet over medium‑high heat and add bacon grease.

Cook the pork chops for about 4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and nicely browned. Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the apple butter, brown sugar, and chipotle chili pepper. Stir and warm the mixture until it melts together and becomes smooth.

Pour in the cream and stir until the sauce is silky and well combined.

Return the pork chops to the pan, turning them to make sure they’re fully coated in the sauce.

Let everything simmer for a minute or two so the flavors soak into the meat. Serve warm and enjoy.

Bacon Brown Butter Spinach

After tasting a spinach side dish at a restaurant, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I knew I had to try recreating it at home, and honestly—how can you go wrong with brown butter and bacon?
