Ingredients

  • 3 Cups all-purpose flour

  • 3 Tbs sugar

  • 1 Tbs baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 12 ounces beer

  • 1/2 cup melted butter divided

  • 1/2 cup cheese

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Pour in the beer and 1/4 cup of the melted butter and cheese. Stir just until combined.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Pour the remaining 1/4 cup melted butter over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until the loaf is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 200°F.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift it out using the parchment paper and transfer it to a wire rack to cool before slicing.
