Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons orange zest

  • 6 slices texas toast

  • 2 tablespoons butter for cooking

Directions

  • In a large shallow bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, salt, pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, and orange zest until well combined.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, allowing it to soak for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter.
